Inline Commenting breaks Paragraph and styling on Uncode theme | 149 Relevance | 2 years ago | arjan | Inline Commenting
Dear support, First of all, thank you for creating an amazing plugin! I am using wpDiscuz on Uncode theme. Uncode uses the WPBakery Page Builder. As I cannot use the inline Comment button from within the WPBakery Backend Editor (this is only available in Classic Mode editing), I simply add the Nulla ut quam dui. Vestibulum at ullamcorper ex. Fusce tempor malesuada ligula, et pellentesque mauris facilisis eget. Pellentesque sodales vehicula purus quis bibendum. Integer a placerat lectus. Fusce ac dignissim sapien. Pellentesque ex tortor, dapibus eu risus e ...
How to use the Inline Commenting | 46 Relevance | 2 years ago | Asti | Frequently Asked Questions
The "Article inline Feedback" feature allows article authors to add some questions for readers on a certain part of the article content and ask for feedback while visitors read it. Let's discuss how to add the inline Feedback option in different editors. #1 inline Feedback Button on the Classic Editors Generally, you can add the inline Feedback button in post content using the «Comment» button on the post editor toolbar like this: #2 inline Feedback Button on the Elementor plugin For the Elementor plugin, the «Comment» button isn't available. Import existing inline comments | 34 Relevance | 4 years ago | stanbrid | How-to and Troubleshooting
Hello, My website's posts already contain inline comments using the plugin inline Comments. We would like to move to wpdiscuz. Is there a way to import the existing inline comments as inline into wpdiscuz inline functionality. Right now, on my staging site, they have all imported as regular comments found at the bottom of the posts. Is it possible to ingest inline-to-inline, even with some front end work? I imagine it's a matter of creating inline sections on the new site and then aligning the database fields for import. Any one of your developers want to ...

@asti Happy to provide more details. What information do you need, please? Here the the inline commenting WP plugin that we want to transition away from: inline Comments. GitHub for it It also uses the WP native comment system, has a settings page, and the same basic functions as wpdiscuz, but definitely not as robust. Here is a post on our site that currently uses the plugin: www.cindyjonesassociates.com/gift-shop-newsletter-mar-15-2020/. This post, for example, has 33 inline comments that we'd like to keep inline when we transition to wpdiscuz. L ...
Multiple Comment Boxes in article Showing Duplicated Question Prompts | 22 Relevance | 2 years ago | Burlesonbrad | Inline Commenting
Go check out that article that I linked to above. In the article, I have placed several opportunities for readers to share their feedback and comments. Unfortunately WpDiscuz has somehow managed to duplicate the first occurrence of the inline comments several times in each additional comment block that was added. To test this and replicate it and verify, I copied the comment hash and then clicked <ctrl+F> to find all the occurrences of that same hash: Attachment : image.png And, I noticed that it came up 8 times in the article. Inline commenting breaks paragraphs. Use span instead div. | 46 Relevance | 2 years ago | Mibal | Inline Commenting
Hello. At first, thank you for great plugin. After short using i noticed that in the inline commenting the inserted div breaks the paragraph tags. You can't have div tag in paragraph tag and WordPress put every line break into paragraph. It will break the paragraph and leave it blank, which causes the issues when you for example want to inline comment certain words and not the whole sentence. So my solution is, instead of div, use span. I changed for test the code in class.WpdiscuzCore.php and changed the divs to spans. Everything works like a charm, on d ...
Inline comment small comment icon not displayed | 19 Relevance | 3 years ago | manu.p | Inline Commenting
Hi, this topic is the same as already posted here, on the WP support section. I’ve been using inline comments successfully in some posts for a while but since I changed theme to a new one, inline comment seems not be working fine anymore, although it’s been working once!… So here’s what I do under the classic editor : select text, click in the wpDiscuz icon and enter a question. Then I can see in the post something like: I’d expect to find a “small comment icon” next to this text in the published post, as it was the case before. But nothing. At all. An ...
Inline commenting issues | 19 Relevance | 4 years ago | pizzaboy | Inline Commenting
I have a few different inline commenting issues. 1. The inline commenting bubble only shows up when I create it in the block editor and doesn't work when in classic editor. 2. The inline commenting changes my font when it is used. 3. When I try to use additional css class in the inline commenting block to fix the font issue, I cannot get the css to save. I tested another text block and it does save. Seems to may be an issue with the inline commenting block. Any help with these would be appreciated and any thoughts on fixing the font issue especially ...

Feature Request - Better inline commenting as seen on Webnovel.com/Wattpad | 40 Relevance | 3 years ago | Remiel | Inline Commenting
... feature request, me and the sites I've been working on have been requesting for a long time: paragraph comments. Now, you must be wondering: "Wait? Doesn't wpDiscuz already have in-line comments? Why a feature request for something we already have?" Well yes, and no. While they might be essentially the same thing, wpDiscuz's inline commenting is severely lacking when compared to paragraph comments on sites like Wattpad and Webnovel. Let me elaborate. About paragraph comments: In recent years web novels and web novel translations have gotten extremely po ...

@kingstakh, Yes, I understood what you meant. We're really sorry, but there is no option to disable the inline commenting form for none logged in users. There is some workaround you can use. You can hide inline commenting form via CSS code for not logged-in users. Below is provided a CSS code you can use. body:not(.logged-in) .wpd-inline-shortcode .wpd-inline-icon-wrapper .wpd-inline-form-wrapper{ display: none !important; } Put the code in the Top Admin Bar > Customize > Additional CSS > "Additional CSS" textarea, save it, d ...

Thrive Architect - Inline commenting has stopped appearing on pages/posts | 15 Relevance | 2 years ago | Johan | Inline Commenting
Hello, I'm having trouble with the inline Comments. I have used "Thrive Architect" and "Learndash" to build my webpages and have recently installed your WpDiscuz plugin. It appears to be exactly what I need and I'm really happy. However, the little speech bubbles for the inline comments are no longer showing. Everything was working at first, but now it's not. It will work if I go back to Wordpress Blocks and save the pages from there, but then all the formatting I did in Thrive is gone. I use unique codes. I have tried uninstalling my Wp Super C ... |
