Currently we're running on a completely dedicated premium server - we are not receiving lag anywhere else on the site - it's just a BIT laggy - not too bad, but a little laggy when people post a comment, or like something - it takes a bit to register.

Any feedback/solutions or suggestions?

If you're loading all comments at once it may affect the page speed.

Please use [Load Comments] or [Load rest of all comments] pagination type:

wpDiscuz optiize comment loading speed

And set 10-20 comment thread (parent comments) per page, it'll load approx 100-200 comments if there are 10 replies in a comment thread:

wpDiscuz comment thread per page

I think what he meant is the time it takes for a comment to be submitted. I'm facing the same. I have ajax enabled. Could it be the one that makes submission of new comments take time? It takes 5-10 seconds to submit a comment for approval.

In fact, it's anywhere from 15 seconds to 20 seconds

@deewinc,

Do you have any cache plugins installed on your website?

@asti yes I do and I have set the plugin to bypass caching WPDiscuz.

I will disable it and see if it improves.

@asti ~ finally after testing all plugins one by one, I have found out that it's Cloudflare's plugin that's slowing down WPDiscuz.

The plugin is used to connect my website to Cloudflare APO for speeding up TTFB. I'm not sure if you have the time to investigate and determine where the issue is coming from.

I noticed that the plugin has a feature for analyzing comments and IPs of commenters and giving it a spam score. This might be the cause. Unfortunately, it doesn't have anywhere to set this off, so I'm not sure if my suspicion is true.

Disabling it makes the WpDiscuz to respond with lightning speeds.

@deewinc,

you should contact the plugin support and ask them if there is a way to solve the issue.
