There is an error when I activate recaptcha (see screenshot). I can't seem to turn it off now either.

If I deactivate the plug-in for troubleshooting

will I lose all my current comments?

You won't lose your comments if you deactivate the wpDiscuz plugin.

However, the issue is not wpDiscuz-related.

There could be several reasons for the problem. You might have incorrectly inserted the keys, or perhaps you have another ReCAPTCHA plugin that's causing the issue.

@asti thank you. Wouldn't it tell me if the keys were incorrect when I entered them? I copy and pasted so that isn't very likely.

Also this is the first time I logged into Recaptcha and created an ID so there shouldn't be anything conflicting.

Sorry for the late response.

Please chekc the active plugin lists and make sure you don't have other kinds of Captcha/ReCaptcha plugins that cause the issue.

There should be another plugin that has ReCaptcha.

Additionally, make sure the Site Key and Secret Key are set for reCAPTCHA Version 2.
