Hello there,

wpDiscuz integrates nicely with WPML. Nevertheless there is 1 quite prominent part in the frontend which we get not translated: https://imgur.com/xKYCJzW

In the String translation part of WPML it shows successfully translated: https://imgur.com/s7DrTAD

I guess that either something is misconfigured, which I don't believe because all other stuff is showing correctly. The other options are a general bug or that the string I'm searching for is not just named "Comments" but different.

Or this part of "Comments" string cannot be found in Wpdiscuz but in default Wordpress section and Wpdiscuz is just consuming this part.

Thank you for sharing your knowledge.

Cheers

Tom

Hi @sonnenfluse2,

please read this doc:

Yep,

already done. The forms are set-up exactly like described there:

English: https://imgur.com/7f3GY3A

German: https://imgur.com/qozU9IE

In the form set-up of the German form itself we also have the correct wording:

but it does not show up in the front-end.

Neither this set-up nor the string translation can translate the prominent

"Comments".

Any other clues?

@sonnenfluse2,

the translation should not be done by the WPML plugin side.

You should have two different comment forms for both languages:

  • For English > en_US
  • For German > de_DE

Translate each phrase to the current language in each comment form. So, when you change language on website front-end the comment form will be changed automatically to according language version.

Awesome. That was really the solution.

It is a bit weird to have both language forms on each language, but it works.

Thx again.
