Hi, i have done a loom to explain my issue:

I have just set up a new post type and comments on that post type are not sending email notifications.

I have also noticed that the post author (even when the email notification to admin works) has never received the email notifications, only to the admin.

This setting doesn't belong to wpDiscuz, it's a WordPress one. Even if you deactivate the wpDiscuz plugin it'll still work in that way. So you should try to find the reason for the issue outside of the wpDiscuz plugin.

Hi - I have found the issue

Manage notification emails was preventing admim and author from receiving new comments notifications. I've inactivated it and all worked as per fault.

hope this comment helps someone in the future
