I have similar issue. Currently some of comments for some reasons are being closed, and some of them are opened. However it's set to unlimited amount of comments. What may be the issue?

Hi,

Please make sure the "Automatically close comments on posts older than X days" checkbox is not checked.

It's located in the Dashboard > Settings > Discussions admin page.
