By larger, I meant the size of the font of the number not to increase it.

If you want to increase the font-size of the counter use the CSS code below:
#wpdcom .wpd-editor-char-counter {
font-size: 12px;
}
Put the code in the Top Admin Bar > Customize > Additional CSS > "Additional CSS" textarea, save it, delete all caches and check again.
