Can this be completely separate from the default WordPress comments? Or does it depend on the default comments?

Ok thanks Asto.
I'll just use it as is. I got a few more questions if I may.
1) I don't see the option to change the phrase text for the comment button "Post Comment". I would like to change this to say "Post Note" instead. See screenshot.
2) There seems to be some green text that I can't change the color. See screenshot. Is there an option to change this?
3) Is it possible to make all comments private by default with no option for users to make them public?
