Hello, nice plugin!
Is it possible to send email notifications about comments to the post author only without him/her having to subscribe to it? We prefer not to give an option to subscribe to comments to other people.
In a previous reply you referred to this article https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-7/wordpress-settings/comment-subscription/ and we have those 2 options enabled but still no notifications being sent the the post author (who is admin btw).
What can still be the reason?

Here are the answers:
1. We use Elasticemail transactional email service in combination with WPMail SMTP Pro and send out hundreds of emails per day, so yes, we are sure this works. We just checked again and see all emails sent correctly from Buddyboss, WP core,... Unfortunately no from WPDiscuz
2. We waited already several days.

4. Not relevant as we only want notifications sent to the post author (admin)

9. First link: we disabled all options there because we only want to send notifications to the post author. Second link: we already have those 2 options enabled.

The two options mentioned here belong to WordPress, not the wpDiscuz, so you should try to find the answer outside of wpDiscuz. Probably there is some conflict.Â

Another question. Is it possible to put that post author in a WPDiscuz database table so she gets notification emails on EVERY WPdiscuz comment written under a post?
Information is stored in the wp_wc_comments_subscription table.Â
Please note the wp_ is just a prefix, in your case, it can differ.Â
Thanks @asti, I went there but it looks a table with subscriptions to a certain post ID. Is it also possible to add the author email address somewhere so she gets email notifications about ALL (WpDiscuz) comments on the site?
Let me explain how the wpDiscuz subscription feature works. wpDiscuz has just three types of subscriptions:
- Single comment subscription
- Subscribe to all comments under the current post
- Subscribe to all own comments' replies under the current post

wpDiscuz is a commenting plugin and it doesn't have other kinds of subscription options.Â
You can try to find a subscription plugin if the native WordPress subscription feature doesn't work for you. I mean the Email me whenever > Anyone posts a comment WordPress option.Â
