Hello guys,

Every time a guest gives rating starts on a particular post the widget does not update the vote count, do you know what could be causing this issue?

Here’s a page with the problem, give the post a rating to see how the widget does not update the votes count

https://pastebin.com/HDsEEjLB

the “Allow Guests to Rate” option has been enabled all this time

Let me know if I can provide you with wp admin temporary access to take a look inside

Thank you!!!

Hi @globsticks,

Yes, please send the admin login details to info[at]gvectors.com email address. I'll ask the developers to check the issue for you.

Just share the email subject here to allow us to easily find it.

@globsticks,

There is some server-side cache enabled for guests. It even doesn't update the phrase, etc for the guest.

Please watch this video: https://monosnap.com/file/q1U9m3uvjCQR4Mou2hQg0dVhFUajDu

Please find the setting to disable the cache for guests or contact the hosting support. They'll better point you.

Hi,

Yes I told hosting support staff and we excluded these pages for testing purposes, the issue was still present, so apparently It is not a server-side cache issue enabled for guests.

I believe there's a second way to rate for posts, can you let me know how to enable this second feature?

Thank you a lot!

Dear @globsticks,

The second type is the comment-depended way. You should create a "Rating" custom field in the comment form allowing people to rate while they leave a comment.

Please follow this documentation to see how to create a rating custom field: https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-7/customization/custom-field-rating/

Dear Asti,

Is there a way to avoid having a logged-in user to vote more than once for an specific post, in the comment-depended way?

Thank you!

@globsticks,

Please check out the wpDiscuz "Limit Comments per User" option. It's located in the Dashboard > wpDiscuz > Settings > Comment Moderation admin page.

More info here: https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-7/plugin-settings/comment-moderation/#limit-comments-per-user
