Hi,

I have the wpDiscuz Media Uploader add-on and I'm trying to add a new file type but I'm unsure what settings to apply?

Some of my users have videos files where the file extension is in capitals e.g. .MP4 and these do not upload. Only lowercase .mp4 work ok. Error message can be seen on this screenshot: https://ibb.co/LJPn6M1

How can I enable videos that have the capital extension .MP4 please?

Hi @mark_rad,

Please follow the steps below: 

1. Navigate to Dashboard > wpDiscuz > Settings > Comment Content and Media admin page

2. Find and click on the "Add New File Type" button

3. Fill the values as shown in the screenshot, that is:

  • extension > MP4
  • mime type(s) (pipe separated) > video/mp4
Add New File Type

4. Save it, delete all caches and check again. 

Please note here we only support issues related to core wpDiscuz plugin. All paid addons are being supported in gvectors.com.
