Hi there,

First of all excellent plugin. I ditched Disqus and there will be no looking back.

The only issue I am encountering is that if readers comment and include iOS smilies, they appear as '?' on-site.

I have been digging through the settings and can't resolve this on my own. Any advice is appreciated. Thank you!

Hi @tensionmouse

Please backup your website's database and change its

charset > utf8mb4

collate  > utf8mb4_unicode_520_ci

Purge all caches after changes if there are any and check again.

Pay attention to the tables' columns, make sure they have correct values.

@jacob Perfection, thank you so much. Confirming that it's fixed.

Serves me right to be running on an age-old WP install from a time before emojis on mobile were ever a thing. ASCII only!
