Hi, I am using the divi builder on my wordpress site. I don't seem to be able to figure out how to insert the inline commenting.

In addition, the live commenting bubble is also not showing, but is enabled. Is there any suggestions?

@adamjones1002,

Could you please try to use the shortcode provided here: https://wpdiscuz.com/community/f-a-q/wpdiscuz-shortcode/

@asti

I have tried adding the shortcode but it does not show up on the page - Introducing PreHospitalHub: Your Ultimate Online Hub for Prehospital Professionals | PreHospitalHub

Any other solutions?

Thanks

@adamjones1002,

We see neither the "Plugins" menu nor the wpDiscuz plugin settings menu. Please check the role and make sure the administrator is assigned as a user role: https://app.screencast.com/GUEZiaDXFWPae

@adamjones1002,

Now everything is ok. I've already asked the developers to check the issue. I'll update this topic once I get a response from them.

@adamjones1002,,

The issue is fixed. It was a small configuration issue in the Snippets plugin. You'd need to choose the "Auto Insert" for the "Insert Method" option in the Snippets plugin settings.

@asti Thanks, much appreciated. Is there an option to add the inline comment to divi builder?

@adamjones1002,

Please try the shortcode provided here (point 2): https://wpdiscuz.com/community/f-a-q/how-to-use-the-inline-commenting/

Hi, This shortcode does not seem to work. It inserts the code and the question but does not come up with the comment button. Take a look on this page:

@adamjones1002,

Please watch this video: https://app.screencast.com/fWoZdYxtqj5X2

The shortcode works fine. If you use the shortcode in other places, please copy the shortcode from the page we've added, then just change the ID.

As you may see in the video there is a z-index issue, to solve it use the CSS code below:

.et_pb_column {
     z-index: unset;
}
.wpd-inline-form-wrapper{
     z-index:99999;
}
.et_pb_column {
    margin-bottom:15px
}

Put the code in the "Custom CSS code" textarea, located in the Dashboard > wpDiscuz > Settings > Styles & Colors admin page.

Don't forget to delete the caches before checking.

@asti Thanks much appreciated. Although, is there a way to get the comment box to appear when users are not logged in, prompting them to login? As guests arent able to open up the comment box so might confused them on what the icon is?

@asti So, when the user is logged in, it was as expected. However, say for example you are a new visitor and you see the comment button after the sentence, you are unable to click on it. Is there a way for non logged in users to click on the comment icon and it prompts them to login, rather than allowing guests to be able to comment.

Hi @adamjones1002,

Please check out the solution provided below:

1. You should download and install the following plugin: https://wordpress.org/plugins/easy-login-woocommerce/

2. Then use the JS code below:

jQuery(document).ready(function ($) {
    jQuery('.wpd-inline-icon-wrapper').addClass('xoo-el-login-tgr');
});
