The subscribe dropdown allows the user to see their latest comments etc.. For me subscribing does other things, as I have my subscription system. How can I change the text to 'Get notified' instead? As a lesser alternative, how can I remove this option?

You can find and change the phrase in the Dashboard > wpDiscuz > Phrases > Form admin page.
