The users on my blog (Arrowheadguys.com) have been having issues where they will be writing a new comment and then use the arrow keys to go back and edit their typing. Upon hitting the arrow key, they get redirected to a new comment and mark it as read. Is there a way to disable this when the comment box is focused?

I have discovered the issue. Some custom javascript was added before I took over that allowed users to use the arrow keys to navigate between the comments. They forgot to disable it while the comment text area is active.
