[Solved] Comments only open on pages with a comment already uploaded

Hi all, I've got a weird bug. The discussion/comment section on all posts of my website are set to open as per WP. But WPdiscuz only lets users add a comment to posts that already have comments on them. posts without any comments say that the user needs to login to comment even though the user is already logged in.

This didn't happen about 6 months ago when I started this web project because I tested it with two dummy users, and the comments are still on the post. It's only now that users cannot comment on new posts, they can only comment on the one post on my website that already has comments.

Please help me fix this, I'm out of ideas. TIA!

Hi,

Please check the built-in WordPress "Allow people to submit comments on new posts" option. The option is located in the Dashboard > Settings > Discussions admin page.

On the same page, check out the "Automatically close comments on articles older than X days" option.
