By sorting options, I mean sort by newest/oldest/most voted/most reacted/hottest comment thread.

None of them are working on any page, all except for one page. As for that one page, it'll only sort them once before it stops working entirely.

Settings > Discussion

  • ✅ Show comments cookies opt-in checkbox, allowing comment author cookies to be set
  • Comments should be displayed with the newer comments at the top of each page

wpDiscuz > Settings > Comment Thread Displaying

  • Comment List Loading Type: Load with page
  • Comments Pagination Type: [Load more] Button
  • Display only parent comments and view replies ∨ button: Disabled
  • Most reacted/hottest,sorting options: Enabled
  • Set comments order to "Most voted" by default: Disabled
  • Reverse Child Comments Order: Disabled
  • Highlight Unread Comments: Disabled
  • Scroll to the comment after posting: Enabled
  • Newest and oldest comment ordering by: ID

My webhost:

  • PHP version: 7.4
  • I've followed all the recommended PHP limits in the documentation, except for max_input_vars since there's no option in cPanel for me to edit it directly in my webhost. I think it's 1000 according to Tools > Site Health > Info. I'll try to get that changed if I can.
  • mbstring extension is active. I have no options in cPanel to change the options though.
  • SQL version if 5.6.51

What I've tried:

  • I use Cloudflare and I've tried checking it with Development Mode and clearing the cache. No change at all.
  • I've recently subscribed to Cloudflare's Automatic Platform Optimization, although sorting haven't been working properly before that.
  • I've tested it in Chrome, Firefox, and Edge. Same result.
  • Tried with iThemes Security plugin disabled. No change.

Nevermind, it started working after enabling Use WordPress native AJAX functions.
