Show/hide specific number of replies?

At the moment we have the option of showing or hiding replies to a comment. But on the site I mod we can get many many replies to a single comment.

Would it be possible to have the option of showing the first two or three replies and hiding the rest?

I know! But I think it would be fairly easy to include as an option. Can I suggest it for future updates?
