This message appeared on top of my WP dashboard and it took me some time to find that it was because of WpDiscuz:

Jetpack comments are active

It had been some time since I last logged into my WP dashboard. Everything seemed to work fine (as far as I remembered!), so finding this message was pretty confusing. Note that it is totally uninformative. OK, something is active, so what? Is that good or bad? The message couldn't be dismissed, there was no information in the wpDiscuz dashboard, and it was also difficult to find any information online.

So I wanted to suggest that when this message appears, it should at least mention that it comes from WpDiscuz. Even better if it linked to some information on whether this is a problem or not, and why, and even how to disable Jetpack comments.

Hi,

If you don’t notice any issues, please ignore the message.

In most cases, when Jetpack Comments are active, they conflict with the wpDiscuz plugin since two different comment forms cannot be used together. However, we cannot detect and disable the message in case there are not any conflicts.

That said, it’s not recommended to keep Jetpack Comments active if you’re using another comment system, like the wpDiscuz.
