How do I go about doing this to change them to something more generic like theme or comment?

If you change those classes, most of the JS functions may not work correctly. Also, you may have a CSS conflicts as well.

I appreciate you replying back thank you so much. I can't tell you how nice it is for someone to respond back to a question I ask. Half the time I ask they don't want to explain anything.
