Hi, on https://www.duurzaamthuis.nl/huishouden/schoonmaken the comment count is 6, but there are only 2 comments visible in front end. This aligns with the backend, there are supposed to be only 2 comments on that page.

I've also seen examples where the count says 2, but there are 0 comments visible (both front end back end).

Is there a way to trigger recount or some other known issues around this?

@knhsb,

Try to delete all kind of caches and check again.

@asti thanks, tried but doesnt help. I've tried it on my test environment with all plugins deactivated except for wpdisquz, and a standard theme: https://staging.duurzaamthuis.nl/huishouden/schoonmaken. Still the same result. Any ideas?

@knhsb,

wpDiscuz uses WordPress native (core) get_comments_number() function for this. Probably the wrong number is being saved in the database.

@asti @Thanks, it's indeed a database issue, unrelated to wpdiscuz. Probably after importing the website. Found a few tutorials on fixing it like this one https://www.wpbeginner.com/wp-tutorials/how-to-fix-category-and-comment-count-after-wordpress-import/.
