Hi @rjk,

If you mean quoting of a text in comments, you should use the quote button in the comment editor:

Why it's not possible?

Just copy the comment text, put it in the quote section I mentioned above and quote.

The article quoting is not for quote it's an interactive article reading feature allowing you to react to author question related to a certain part of the article text.

@tomson what i am looking for, is more interaction , multi level discussions by allowing visitors to comment to other visitors by quoting comments of other visitors.

Ok, I see you. But this is mostly a forum feature. The comment systems only have a [reply] button which creates a direct reply to certain comment, indicating with thread nesting level and information about the replied comment:

This already does the main thing, connecting a comment and reply. If you need to quote a small part of comment text you can copy and put it in "quote" tag.

@tomson I know it is mainly for forums, but i am using WPD as a replacement for the regular comment section of Wordpress because i didnt find a better tool.

The only p[roblem is that, when user A states something, user B replies to that(nested comments) And user C replies to user B, quoting would be nice because it is very diffeult for people to see if users c comment is for User B or user A. My nesting is at level 2 because at level 3 or more it cannot handle the formatting of my WP theme.
