Hi I am looking to move from disqus to your platform.

is there any ability to give users time outs? Eg they can’t comment for 7 days?

also do we have any control over new users like new user comments must be approved.

can we ban users from the site?

I'm really sorry, but wpDiscuz doesn't have such a feature.

We may suggest you use native (core) WordPress "Comment author must have a previously approved comment" option. It's located in the Dashboard > Settings > Discussion admin page.
