I would like to limit comment contributors.

I would like to be able to allow a few people I have authorized to comment, instead of all registered users. Is this possible?

You can use the "Disable commenting for roles" option. Please read this doc: https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-7/getting-started/manage-comment-forms/comment-form-settings/#disable_commenting_for_roles
