When the comments are displayed with " in it, i am getting the following syntax \ added as below:

another \”private\” browser

Any advise how to get rid of \" in the word private above.

wpDiscuz doesn't have such an issue. You can check it here: https://wpdiscuz.com/demo/

One of the active plugins/theme also uses the comment_text() hook and causes the issue.

You should deactivate the plugins/theme one by one and check after each deactivation to find the problem maker.
