See the code above and the result. Comment order does not change as documented hereHave tried default priority for the anonymous function as well. There is no other instance of "wpdiscuz_comment_list_args" hook in our code either. Suggestions?

You should disable the WordPress native pagination. More info here: https://wpdiscuz.com/docs/wpdiscuz-7/plugin-settings/comment-thread-displaying/#comments-pagination-type

The WordPress ignores the reverse_top_level property if the pagination is enabled.

@asti Good to know. We do need pagination for the other templates, unfortunately. Is there any way to set page_comments programmatically that you know of? Tried to do so using update_option but the result seems essentially random.
