Hi there,

wpDiscuz 5.x was compatible with the plugin, Avatar Manager. wpDiscuz 7.x no longer is.

With wpDiscuz 7.x, when we activate 'Enable Gravatar Caching" in General Settings, all custom Avatars (with pictures) revert to a generic ("Person") Avatar.

The only temporary fix we found is to leave "Enable Gravatar Caching" deactivated.

Hi @aerostar,

Try to disable wpDiscuz Avatar Cache in Dashboard > Settings > General Settings Tab.

@tom,

Not trying to be smart, but did you read my original post? Yes, we did that and problem was solved. However, now our Avatars are not cached.

Any other possible fixes? (we're trying to avoid the installation of another cache plugin for Avatars).

That's the correct fix. The Avatar Manager doesn't use all necessary hooks to be compatible with wpDiscuz Avatar Cache. This has no any solution from wpDiscuz side. So the only solution is disabling the avatar cache.
