I have a problem with flag emojjis. While inserting them into the comment text editor box while being on a Windows computer they get replaced by a link to a svg-file.

An after posting the comment the get replaced by a link.

I already know what is causing the problem. It's about Windows not having flag emojis, so they can't be rendered. If I paste a flag emoji into the text editor wih mobile phone or on Ubuntu the flag shows.

Now the thing is, that the plugin can display the flag emojis on Windows when the comments are written with the flag emoji (on a devices that can render the flag emojis). So there seems to exist some workaround for displaying the comments in the written comments.

Is there any way I can stop the text editor comment box to change the Emoji-Code into the svg-Link an Windows? I think displaying the flags should work if the unicode character wouldn't be changed (for example if it would still be "IT" for the Italian flag in the comment box), then the flag should be visible in the posted comment.

By the way, in this forum it works: if I post “IT” into the text editor, I don’t see the flag, but the emoji code, and the flag is visible in the written post.

This comes from the rich editor and cannot be resolved on the wpDiscuz plugin side. However, you might want to check out the wpDiscuz – Emoticons addon, which includes flags.
