I’d like to be able to selectively automatically approve comment authors.
I know I can select to automatically approve comments from Authors who have had at least 1 previous comment approved.
that’s NOT what I’m trying to do
i kind of want to have a “VIP” list of commenters who get their posts automatically approved...
This doesn't have any relation to wpDiscuz, it's being handled by WordPress side. You should find some additional plugin for this purpose.
You should try to search something like comment moderation by user role.
@asti I agree with Ashley Pearce that this should be an extra feature within wpDiscuz. I'd be happy to pay for this as an add-on. We don't want to install extra plugins (bloat and extra time management).
