We have "Notify comment author once comment is approved" enabled, as we want maximum engagement wit the users, but we often reply when moderating, so the user gets 2 emails.  One for the approval , and one for the reply - and not always in that order.   When replying like this, the email for the approval is not necessary, and possibly confusing for the user - can it be removed/avoided?

Hi @wmcleod,

We're really sorry, but in this case, there is no way to detect and don't send the email if the comment is under moderation. You should make sure the comment is approved before replying to the comments. In any case, if you enable the "Notify comment author once the comment is approved" and the user is subscribed to the comment both mails will be sent.

In case you want to say thank you! 🙂
We'd really appreciate if you leave a good review on the plugin page.
This is the best way to say thank you to this project and the support team.
