Hi! It would be nice if ratings were saved using AJAX instead of refreshing the page.

It feels old compared to the other wpdiscuz functionality.

Is this something in the roadmap?

Thank you!

@joseekcit,

This is made to avoid cache issues. In 90% of WordPress websites, cache plugins make the post content area as a dead static section. The page refresh helps t keep the rating information up to date and show the real time value.

Hi Tom! Thanks for the answer!

That's strange, since comments themselves are posted using AJAX right? Then the same logic would apply to them.

Anyways, an option to choose the desired behaviour would always be nice to have.

Additionally, the automatic scrolling after rating refresh is not always accurate, it feels buggy.

Β

Thanks again!

Hello,
I would appreciate that too. There are some examples or plugins where posts are liked with Ajax without reloading the page. Even with cache systems...

It seems to be a big concern for many. Can you please add this to the roadmap? Thank you.

@mistermixmania,

This requires large changes in the plugin codes and can’t be moved to our top tasks. We cannot provide any ETA for this feature.
