Hi, we have phrases set for roles, but they don't appear in the comments. For example, the subscriber role:

Comment author labels look like this:

But, interestingly, this only applies to comments that were loaded immediately after opening the page.

After clicking on the "see more comments" button, each label on the next loaded comments is correct.

There is one more strange thing. ALL tooltips are correct.

How it's possible?

I would be grateful for an explanation.

@pelicjan,

It seems there is some other plugin that causes the issue. Please deactivate the plugins one by one and check after each deactivation to find a problem maker.

Please keep the cache plugin (if you have) deactivated during this testing process. Also, don't forget to press Ctrl+F5(twice) on frontend each time before checking.
