Are there any plans to add: Slack and Discord as login mechanisms? If not (or not in the near future) - where should I look if I wanted to write (and add) it myself?

This is not planned yet. However, we'll take it into consideration for future versions.

There are no hooks we can provide you. You can use some other kind of social login plugin that supports Slack and Discord social login features.
