Hi,
I just installed your Plugin. So far, I think it's great.
Background: Before I switched to wpDiscuz Comments, I was using WP standard POST comments.
I use MailChimp and their Plugin offers an integration (which I have turned ON) so that when someone POSTs a COMMENT(email addr. required) it captures the email address and sends it over to MailChimp.
1. Do you support MailChimp integration(like above)?
2. If yes, do you capture the email address and pass it to MailChimp during COMMENT, SUBSCRIBE, both or neither? I'm asking because you have 2 options for entering an email address. And, to I have to turn any options ON for this to work?
I used to just have a Check Box so when someone was Posting a comment, they could check the subscribe box for my Newsletter when they posted their COMMENT.
Thanks,
Bob
Thank you, Bob.
The Mailchimp integration is in our to-do list, but we can’t add it to our top tasks. I’m sorry, but I cannot provide any ETA yet.
Hi,
Thanks for replying. I want to make sure because this is an important feature for me. I believe that it's Jetpack that allows this option to be turned on. So, are you saying that you don't currently support this even if I'm using Jetpack to enable this(see below)?
Example(in Jetpack):
Below - right click open in new tab
I want to make a correction to my previous comment. Actually the setting to enable the MailChimp subscriptions is in the MC4WP: Mailchimp for WordPress Version 4.8.3 | By ibericode plugin.
Its in the "Mailchimp for WordPress: Integrations"
It's under Integrations: Comment Form ---- Subscribes people from your WordPress comment form.
Question: So that I'm clear, you guys don't support this?
Okay, thanks. I'll have wait to use your plugin until you add this functionality. If you know of a way that I can customize your COMMENTS form/layout so that I can add this function, please let me know.
Thank you.
