We want to close comments after 6 days and you can see the setting is selected here but the comments still stay open.

that doesn't help: https://www.westsiderag.com/2025/07/08/west-side-kids-beloved-uws-toy-store-set-to-close-permanently-after-44-years. Any other ideas?
Please deactivate the wpDiscuz plugin and check again. Let us know how it works.Ā
This is actually a native WordPress option and is not related to the wpDiscuz plugin.

Ā The comments are closed as you can see from the red box overlaying the a,d but the comments form still appears. How can I hide that?
