I had auto-update enabled on my wordpress blog. The last update took down my site hard. (Happened in the middle of the night) I wasn't able to see the site or access the back end.

I had to log in via ftp and rename the plugin folder. Once this was done I was able to access everything. Thinking a bad download, I tried again with the same result as soon as I activated the plugin. Repeat previous fix.

I have it installed but disabled. Any thoughts or suggestions?

Hi,

We don't find such an issue on our test websites.

Please find the error log file, compress/zip it, and attach it here so we can review the PHP errors. If there is no error log file, enable WordPress debugging mode to generate errors by repeating the same actions. Here is the documentation on how to enable WordPress debugging mode: https://wordpress.org/documentation/article/debugging-in-wordpress/

I'll need to reactivate the plugin and let things happen. The original folder is long gone. Now watch it work perfectly. 😉

@asti I'm not a developer so I need to read things carefully and make sure backups are taken.

The site is live so I need to be careful with the debug mode.
