I'm really liking wpDiscuz so far, vastly better than my old comments plugin, but there's a feature which seems an extraordinary omission - letting users see new comments since they last visited a page.
I know the plugin DOES have the capability to identify new comments, because it picks them out every time it updates the Bubble while you're on the page (and I can also see them in my admin tab at the top of the page). But while it lets you just click an icon to see the "Most Reacted Comment" or the "Hottest Comment Thread", there bizarrely isn't an option for the much more useful "See New Comments", unless I've missed it somewhere.
I wondered if this might be a paid addon, which I'd have been happy to subscribe for, but as far as I can tell it isn't. Please consider adding it.
(And while I'm here, it'd be good to be able to put the comment box BELOW the comments, not just above, which is a more natural place for it. People don't want to read all the existing comments then scroll all the way back up the page to add one.)
Hi,
Please check out the "Highlight Unread Comments" option located in the Dashboard > wpDiscuz > Settings > Comment Thread Displaying admin page.
Additionally, check out the "wpDiscuz – User Notifications" addon: https://gvectors.com/product/wpdiscuz-user-notifications/
Thanks. I've switched that setting to on and saved the changes, but I can't see any sort of highlighting on unread comments. What should it look like?
