Cannot comment while logged into the WP admin (as the admin user) - receiving "Some of field value is invalid" error. Assuming this is somehow for email not being set, but cannot figure out how/why. The admin comment form does not have email field, so cannot enter that in manually, assuming it should be pulled in from admin settings however it seems to be failing.
I tried the editing of form, to disable require field of email for form -- but that just removed it for general users and still errors on the admin side.
Please navigate to Dashboard > Users > All Users admin page, find and edit the current user, and make sure the "Email" field is filled in the Contact Info section.

@asti Hi. Thanks. Email is setup for main admin as well as all admin users. It seems to be an SSL/HTTPS issue - we're in dev env and don't have SSL and setting it up with SSL seems to resolve it. Seems commenting from admin only requires SSL - comments as a site user works fine. We installed really simple SSL plugin on DEV environment and it resolved it. Just sharing, so it can help others that may be stuck in same situation.
Thank you for letting us know. Glad to hear that the issue is solved.
