Visitor confusion, log in issues

Hello! Still trying to get to the point where the comment section needs no instruction. The issue is the visitors don't know how to use the inline commenting feature. They click on the blue box and nothing happens. They think it doesn't work. People are emailing me, telling me there is something wrong with it. It is a problem for sure. I put instructions in my sidebar and on the home page where I announced this new feature. Even when I reply saying where the login button is and placing three more login links to wordpress, they still don't get it. They come to me asking, Where? The login is too small and not important looking as well as far from the action. If you clicked on the blue comment box and nothing happened, what would you do? Move on. You would think it is broken for sure. You don't even know that you need to look for a login. So I made a google social login. Great directions by the way. Very, very good! Thank you for that. I completed it successfully but later found out the login is in the comment section area?? So small, but again, who would know to look for it or why they need to look for it. Something has got to happen to direct people so they know what to do. Period. I suggested a popup login when they click on the blue comment box. That would be best. Or a login page. Or move them to the login button at the comment section specificially on top of a designated login area with some directions. I don't know but as it is now, it is failing the user test. Did I miss something? Maybe I did, idk. Thanks!!

Hello, I have a suggestion. ;o) The gray button isolates the inline feedback comments. Can you create another button to isolate just the comments, please? This way, people can decide either way. Thank you!

In a nutshell, wpdiscuz inline fully works in a standard post (test post called 'test page') as a block/widget but requests to recover each edit session.

When highlighting text, the inline icon is missing.

In Elementor, the icon is visible with the text editor widget, and appears to work by placing the shortcode using the highlighted text, but only renders text, not the comment bubble in the front end.

Lastly, in Elementor, the shortcode widget only renders highlighted text, no comment bubble.

What I did. All forms enabled. Purged everything, everywhere with each change. js exlusions. Using Flywheel, Cloudflare, WP Rocket, and Elementor. Cloudflare paused, WProcket exclusions helped by their team and using url optimization bypass URL, Elementor regenerated CSS etc. Flywheel flushed. Awesome fonts are showing successfully in the hottest comment area. I don't know what else to do, lol.

Guest users unable to view inline comments next to the icon

Hello,
I created a dummy page to test the in-line comment feature of this plugin. For some reason, the guest users cannot view the in-line comments in the same place,

i.e., right beside the comment icon. They can only view the comments in the article comment section i.e. towards the bottom. Any idea how to resolve this?

If you have a post and it's under a specific category, and there are inline comments associated with that post, moving the posts does not remove the comments but they stop being "inline" comments.

This means once a post is published into a specific category, don't change your mind or alter it in any way, otherwise all that comment associated data will go away and you'll just a long thread of "regular" comments.

Is this by design or a bug?

Just recently inline comments were working fine and now they disappeared. I tried redoing them by deleting the original shortcode and making a new one with a different id, but still nothing.

Not all inline comments appearing in post

Inline commenting was working, but today, I've added 3 or 4 inline comments to a post, but only 1 is showing up. There should be an inline comment icon after the second line "Or at least a working title" and a few other spots, but only one is showing up. Past posts seem to have them working fine, but this one it's not.

I had added a new plugin, but when I deactivated it, it didn't fix the issue.

Hi - first off, fantastic product - thank you so much for this!

I'm trying to programmatically pull comments out of the WordPress SQL database.
This works well when I relate wp_posts table and wp_comments tables.

However, I'm struggling to link inline comments to content within the wp_comments table.
There doesn't seem to be a way to identify which comments relate to which inline unique_id within the wp_wc_feedback_forms table.

I assume I should be looking somewhere else? Any help would be appreciated!

Hi. I would want to use the feature to invite users to comment in line but there is an issue. You can see it in files attached. The window is not entirely visible and there is a problem with space and enter line in the text. Thanks for help again.

Inline Comment Button Unreadable

Hi everyone!

I have an issue and I think its a conflict with dark mode / light mode feature of my website. Here's screenshots. Default "COMMENT" text is unreadable because it is white. While hovering problem disappears. How can I fix it? Also I want to get rid of the checkbox but I can't find how.
