Hello everyone,

I'm using a translator, so I hope this will be understandable.

One of my subscribers has asked for their account to be deleted so they can create a new one with a different email address and username.

The problem is that all their old comments are still in the database, but I don't know if it's possible to link the old comments to their new account.

I hope I've managed to make myself clear. 😁

Is wpdiscuz_generate_thumbnails need if media uploads are disabled?

Hello, does the wpdiscuz_generate_thumbnails cron job have to run every 3 hours if I have media attachments disabled? Also, I can see the wpdiscuz_delete_unattached_images cron job running every 48 hours. Can I delete these cron jobs if I am not using media uploads on comments?

wpDiscuz subscription and email notification don't work

Hello

I've read the FAQ, but comment notifications aren't working for subscribers. Someone subscribed, received an email request (SMTP works!), and they confirmed, but they don't receive notifications about my replies. Not when I simply reply to their comment, not when I simply comment on the article, and not when I tag them with @username.

Meanwhile, I see emails with subscription confirmation requests in the SMTP logs, but I don't see any emails with comment notifications.

Layout Discrepancies Across Responsive Views (Desktop vs. Mobile)

Hello,

I'm currently experiencing consistent spacing and alignment issues across both desktop and mobile views, regardless of which template I use.

Specifically, I’d like to highlight the issues I’m facing with your 3rd template:

In the desktop view, the profile image appears misaligned, and there’s excessive spacing between the profile image and the username. This layout doesn’t seem to match what’s shown in your original 3rd template demo.
In the mobile view, the layout becomes even more problematic — elements appear to be merged together with no proper spacing, and in some cases, the profile image doesn’t show up at all.

I’ve attached screenshots for both desktop and mobile views, alongside the reference from your 3rd template, for easier comparison.

Space above the comments section

I am trying to figure out how to make the blank space above the comment section and a paragraph above it, which is outside of the comment section. (see screen shot and red text) Maybe with CSS? I don't see any solution, but am open to any ideas? Thanks!

After I used Wpdiscuz, there was a large blank space on the right side of the webpage. How can I solve this problem? It does not affect normal use, but my obsessive-compulsive disorder cannot stand the webpage being able to be pulled to the right.

Hello,

I'd like to make a suggestion for a future version. After you comment or when clicking a link to a specific comment, WP Discuz must have JavaScript that smoothly scrolls you to the comment.

If you don't have a sticky menu, it will scroll to the right spot.

If you have a sticky menu or something like it, it will scroll to where it thinks the right spot is, but the comment might be partially cut off by your sticky menu.

It's not a huge deal. Users are smart enough to know they need to then scroll back up a bit. But, it's a small cringy-type unwanted effect.

In a future version, there could be a setting that allows you to add or subtract from the default scroll-to point. So if you need the auto-scroll to scroll a little past the element it targets, you could put in 25px. If you need it to scroll less, -25px.
